Course information:
What is paint pouring?
Acrylic pouring is a painting technique where acrylic paint is mixed with a pouring medium and then poured onto a surface in a variety of ways. The surface is tilted in each direction to let the paint flow and the way the colours interact is unpredictable, yet always interesting.
What will I learn?
You will be learning how to prepare the perfect mix for all your paint pouring projects.
We will be showing you various techniques to create an underwater background onto your canvas, and add jellyfish:
Blow, dragging & swiping techniques.
You will be making 1 project on a medium size canvas: 40 x 30 cm
This course level:
This course is suitable for level 2/3 students, it is a little bit more difficult than our usual beginner's courses but if you have already done a paint pouring course with us or you already do a lot of craft, you will be able to follow this course without struggling. If you are not sure about your level, why not come to another paint pouring course with us before joining this one.
What if I struggle during the course?
All our courses are fun and informal, our groups are kept small for you to have as much space as possible.
This also allows me to be able to help you should need a little encouragement. There is always enough time to ask for help and if one way doesn't work for you, I always have another way to show you.
Can I take my work home?
Yes, you can. Before the end of the course, we will try to dry your work as much as possible.
Your masterpiece will not be completely dry, you will have to be careful,
I will be supplying you with takeaway box for you to be able to carry your work home.
Please make sure that your car boot is empty for you to be able to lay your work flat.
Should you wish not to take risks, you can always leave your work to dry with me and collect it at a later date.
What should I wear?
Please make sure that you are wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. For practical reasons, we will be providing you with an apron, but paint can still splash your garments, please make sure that you are not wearing your best clothes!
