    What is paint pouring?

Acrylic pouring is a painting technique where acrylic paint is mixed with a pouring medium and then poured onto a surface in a variety of ways. The surface is tilted in each direction to let the paint flow and the way the colours interact is unpredictable, yet always interesting.

    What is negative space?

The area which surrounds the main subject. The main subject is in negative space:
Imagine a tree surrounded by blue sky, the sky is the negative space.

    What will I learn?

You will be learning how to prepare the perfect mix for all your paint pouring projects.
I will be showing you various techniques to achieve the style you are after:
Using a hair dryer, swipe or drag and blow techniques.

What if I struggle during the course?

All our courses are fun and informal, our groups are kept small for you to have as much space as possible.
This also allows me to be able to help you should need a little encouragement. There is always enough time to ask for help and if one way doesn't work for you, I always have another way to show you.

    What should I wear?

Please make sure that you are wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. For practical reasons, we will be providing you with an apron, but paint can still splash your garments, please make sure that you are not wearing your best clothes!

Can I take my work home?

Yes, you can. Before the end of the course, we will try to dry your work as much as possible.
Your masterpieces will not be completely dry, you will have to be careful, I will be supplying you with takeaway boxes for you to be able to carry your work home.
Please make sure that your car boot is empty for you to be able to lay your work flat.

Should you wish not to take risks, you can always leave your work to dry with me and collect it at a later date.
