Course information:
What resin do we use?
We use epoxy resin as friendly to the environment as possible. It is non toxic and can be used as a support for food.
What will I learn?
During the workshop, I will be showing you how to mix together resin and hardener to get the best result.
You will be using a heat gun to remove all bubbles in the resin.
You will be making a geode/agate on an A4 wooden support.
You will be able to add colour, pigments and glitter to your clear resin. We have a lot of colours to choose from.
You will be able to add mirrored glass, glass gems to give the impression of precious stones.
This course level:
This course is suitable for level 1/2 students, it is a little bit more difficult than our usual beginner's courses but if you have already done a resin course with us or you already do a lot of craft, you will be able to follow this course without struggling. If you are not sure about your level, why not come to another resin course with us before joining this one.
What if I struggle during the course?
All our courses are fun and informal, our groups are kept small for you to have as much space as possible.
This also allows me to be able to help you should need a little encouragement. There is always enough time to ask for help and if one way doesn't work for you, I always have another way to show you.
Can I take my project home?
At the end of the course, your masterpiece will not be dry/cured.
I will be supplying you with a takeaway box for you to be able to carry your work home.
Please make sure that your car boot is empty for you to be able to lay your work flat.
What should I wear?
Please make sure that you are wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. For practical reasons, I will be providing you with an apron, but resin can still splash your garments. The resin will not come off so please make sure that you are not wearing your best clothes!
Please bring an extra sweatshirt as we will have windows open to keep the room well ventilated.
What is included:
Tea, coffee and biscuits

Please feel free to sit in the garden with a nice drink on the day!
